Our Aim
We encourage outreach in the community and acts of community service for the betterment of the community. We aim to:

To promote Hindu religion through regular meetings at the Temple and provide a safe place and facilities for public worship and congregation for followers of the Hindu Religion

To facilitate learning of languages and culture for Hindu children in the community as per Article 30 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. To facilitate support for less able members to worship and congregate including support for elderly members

To provide and maintain a library on Hindu religion, culture, arts and languages and promote a better understanding of the Hindu culture by celebrating popular Hindu festivals and by inviting other communities to participate at festivals

The Mother Earth Hindu Temple is committed to promoting an equal opportunities policy that will reflect good practice by actively disallowing discriminatory behaviour on the grounds of race, religion, belief, colour, nationality, age, sexual orientation, gender, marital status or disability

To encourage members and public to care for the environment and minimise waste and carbon footprint to preserve Mother Earth, through eco-friendly community projects that are open to all

We are committed to zero-tolerance towards any form of abuse towards its staff, trustees, members and community and reserves the right of admission where the Temple’s missions, aims and values are endangered.

To provide facilities for cultural, arts and recreational activities for the Hindu community and encourage members of other communities to participate in such activities. We as a charity recognizes that Scotland is a multi-cultural society and believe that cultural diversity positively enriches our society. This belief is reflected in the commitment of this Hindu temple to promoting and encouraging wider access to its arts and cultural activities within East Renfrewshire, Glasgow and in general, Scotland.

To actively promote better mental and physical health of the community through various projects aimed at all age groups, including facilitating meditation, yoga, sports and culture

To collaborate with other groups including governments, formal education sectors, global organizations, other religious groups and individuals who share similar values where mutual support promotes the aims and activities of the Charity
